Innisfree is a Korean skin care company, which makes an array of high quality skin products packaged in their own uniquely designed bottles. I tried the green tea face serum and the seeds work quickly to moisturize my skin within seconds; it has a refreshing scent and you can feel the difference immediately. My skin looked brighter, softer, and felt refreshed.

I’d recommend washing your face first and then applying a few small drops to your face. It’s currently their best seller and I see why. I can’t wait to try more of Innisfree’s products!

What I like most about the face mask  (beside from the fact that no animals were harmed in the making) is the cute little jar it comes in. For me, it’s easily storable and great for on-the-go travels. You can make about 15 deep cleansing face masks using 1-2 teaspoons of the powder and 1-2 teaspoons of water, use more or less depending how thick or thin you want the consistency to be. Leave on for 15 minutes and wa la your fresh feels fresh.

I loved the fresh mint smell that I could smell and feel working through my pores one step at a time. For $15 a jar, you get everything you ever dreamed of.  High quality vegan face masks are hard to find these days, but this one is pure magnificence. My face feels smooth, oil-free, and renewed using sea clay and yellow silt ingredients.

No dairy, no problem!

Dairy has a lot of additives, extra fat, and also slows your body down.  It takes even longer to digest dairy. Many of us believe that dairy is beneficial for calcium; however, coconut milk, kale, collard greens, broccoli, figs, and oranges are other highly enriched calcium dairy alternatives. I recently decided to transition to a vegan lifestyle. Immediately, I noticed I had more energy and even shed a few extra pounds. My meals are more simple and full of veggies and fruits. I love to start my day with a smoothie, and end it with a salad and a protein, but for snackin’ time I have nuts, clementines and popcorn. Start to eliminate dairy and see what happens!

Pasta Perfection!

I love my pasta and pasta with a lot of flavor and veggies. Personally, I love whole wheat pasta in any form spaghetti, penne, linguine, etc and it’s healthier for you in case you forgot. I made whole wheat pasta with sauteed spinach and tomatoes. Nomz!

All you need is a 1lb bag of whole wheat penne.

Let it boil until it’s al dente (just right, not too hard, not too soft) You can do a taste test after about 8 minutes.

Chop up tomatoes into smaller pieces and set aside.

Add olive oil to a pan and chopped up garlic cloves on medium heat. Add the spinach and shut the lid. You will notice that the spinach will begin to shrink. Keep mixing it together. Add salt, pepper, oregano, basil, and any other spices you prefer. Then, you can add the tomatoes.

Once the tomatoes get softer, you can shut it off. Add the cooked pasta to the pan and mix thoroughly. (You can also add sauce if you’d like) Serve warm!

Pizza is as easy as 1, 2, 3! Looking for a delicious and hearty meal that will keep you feeling full for hours. Look no longer. Mama Mary’s pizza crusts are amazingly good. First, you’ll need olive oil to brush onto the crust for an extra crispy crust. Then, add your own sauce homemade or jar whichever you prefer and spread it evenly. Save the best part for last, toppings. I added bruschetta and veggie cheese with a touch of pepper, oregano, garlic for an extra savory flavor. Let cook at 425 degrees for about 10 minutes and enjoy!

Good Karma Vegan Cafe is a small quaint cozy spot located in the heart of Red Bank with an entire menu full of delectable vegan dishes and desserts. You can taste the passion. 90% of all the ingredients are organic and made with vegetables, grains, beans, tofu, and tempeh. Great for gluten-free, dairy-free, pesticide free lovers. Open daily from Monday-Saturday 9AM – 9PM, and get brunchin’ every Sunday from 9AM-12PM.

I ordered the Spicy Buffalo Salad with spicy tempeh buffalo wings over crisp romaine lettuce and spring mix. Topped with cabbage, carrot sticks and crunchy celery. Served with a creamy cashew based ranch dressing.

Always save room for dessert, duh. I had the Banana Hempseed Cake topped with banana buttercream frosting and hemp seeds. It was moist, flavorful, guilt free for 9 bucks, and honestly worth living for.

Simply hungry…simple spinach!

Simply hungry, simple spinach!

Really, you only need 5 simple ingredients for a quick, delicious, vitamin enriched dish. It’s totally true grab a bag or fresh spinach, garlic, sea salt, red pepper flakes, and a touch of olive oil. Spinach has high amounts of iron, fiber, and curbs overeating. And better yet it’s EASY to prepare.

1) Fresh spinach

2) Teaspoon of olive oil

3) Garlic

4) Dash of red pepper flakes

5) Dash of sea salt

Add olive oil to pan about a teaspoon and sliced garlic (add as much or as little as you’d like) pieces. Saute for a minute on medium heat and throw in all the spinach. Time to spice it up with some sea salt and red pepper flakes. Waa Laa! Only add about a tablespoon of each or more if you’d like it extra salty. Let it all cook together until the spinach starts to shrink and the garlic will become a bit more brown. Do a taste test and serve warm. Spinach is a fast convenient side dish that pairs with mostly anything. Goin’ vegan isn’t that bad.
